Thank you for sharing your experience. We can help you get the most out of your new purchase and based on the suction it does indicate the angle of the tool isn't correct. To improve suction and increase stain removal:
SPRAY: Point the nozzle down and press the lever to spray water.
AGITATE: Move the tool so that the brush touches the surface and move back and forward.
PICK UP / SUCTION: Tilt the nozzle forward so the very front nozzle is touching the surface. This will create a channel needed for maximum suction and improve performance.
