Hi, the amount of zoom available will vary with the lens you use, and you would adjust the zoom on the lens itself. To view the final image you're going to get, you would need to look through the through the viewfinder or preview this on the LCD screen. Before you take a photo and using the LCD screen, you can magnify/zoom in but this is to check the details in focus, rather than being something that's reflected in the final image. The Canon Photo Companion app which is available for iOS or Android devices (details here: https://www.canon.co.uk/apps/photo-companion/) is a great way to learn more about the camera and if you do have any questions, the support team will be more than happy to help on 02076600186 (Mon-Fri 08:00-20:00, excluding bank holidays).
