Meet The Colour Council

Catherine Summers - Not Dressed As Lamb

Catherine Summers, 45, is a professional blogger and the 2017 UK Blog Awards Individual Fashion and Beauty Winner. Her key message is to encourage women of all ages to stop thinking they have to be 'age appropriate' and wear whatever they like instead. Born in London and bred in the South East, she now lives in Devon with two long-legged silver foxes: her husband Keith and Riley the lurcher.

“I'm really looking forward to working with JD Williams on the Colour Council, what an exciting campaign to work on! As a fashion blogger I live and breathe colour - I ditched all-black many years ago and it reignited my love of fashion. I love the idea of living a colourful life as well, so I hope this collaboration will provide a ton of inspiration where colour is concerned - in all areas of life!”

Emily Johnston - Fashion Foie Gras

Emily Johnston, 37, is the founder and editor of Fashion Foie Gras, a lifestyle blog that covers everything from food to fashion. Since starting the blog in 2009, Emily has worked with some of the world's largest and highest profile brands. Her content features a relatable voice and photos bursting with colour.

Ashley Cramp - Lazy Daisy Jones

She lives with her long term partner and teenage son in Dorset. Ashley loves colourful interiors and fashion and wishes she had a bigger wardrobe to keep all her shoes in.

“I am delighted and very proud to be a part of the JD Williams Colour Council. I find the older I get the harder it is to dress fashionably without looking silly. Therefore, I like to think I've made all the 'fashion faux pas' so you don’t have to! I hope I can help to encourage you to be more adventurous and to embrace your own style with both imagination and colour.”

Nikki Garnett - Journalist & Blogger

Nikki Garnett, 50, juggles her blog Midlifechic with her day job of running a marketing agency. The former editor of Selfridges magazine, she lives with her husband and three teenage sons on the edge of The Lake District. She is always on the hunt for understated chic whether she is dressing for work, weekends or restyling her home.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of the JD Williams Colour Council. It’s a myth that you have to spend a lot to look effortlessly stylish and the same goes for your home too. We’ll be sharing the tips that we’ve gained from our years of experience to help you look and feel great every day.”
