If you think knitwear still means a shapeless jumper that you’re more likely to wear while pottering around the house, you’re in for a surprise!

Knitwear has shaken off its frumpy image and become a versatile, key staple in every stylish wardrobe.

So whether it’s for work, a family lunch or a night out with the girls, JDW has the right one for you this season.

One key thing is finding what suits your shape for example a V-neck jumper is likely to be more flattering for bustier women and a slouchy fit can help disguise a mum tum.

I like to break the rules on what things conventionally go together, so I love a knit with a glittery skirt, for instance. I’m also a sucker for knitwear with an interesting twist – punchy colours, pretty patterns or intricate details can always find room in my wardrobe!

No.1
TIE SIDE JUMPER - £36.00
This white funnel neck jumper with its pretty bow detail can effortlessly replace a white shirt for the office once the weather gets colder.
No.2 SEQUIN JUMPER - £39.00 For the party season, I would pair this gorgeous sequinned number with some wide leg trousers and ankle boots. Once I’ve added bright red lippy and a matching clutch, I’ll be ready to hit the dance floor!
No.3 ROLL NECK - £39.00 If you’re wearing a fancy knit like this lace detail one, don’t feel you need to team it with an equally glam skirt or trousers. A dark pair of jeans and some heels can look just as good.
No.4 TEXTURED ROLL NECK JUMPER - £39.00 Be brave with textures. A chunky knit looks great with a sequinned skirt. I love this blush jumper which I’d wear with a shimmery skirt of a similar hue
No.5 FLUTED SLEEVE - £22.00 Get extra mileage out of your summer dresses by wearing a turtle neck as a base layer. It’ll not just keep you warm but add a different twist to your look.
No.6 Cold-Shoulder Jumper - £22 The cold shoulder trend is still going strong, swap your summer tops for this lurex fine knit for a night out. And don’t forget your accessories - I like to jazz up a plain knit with a pair of statement earrings for instant glam.
No.7 RUFFLE SLEEVE VALUE JUMPER - £16.00 Tick off two major autumn winter 2017 trends in one go with this powder blue weater: super sleeves and ruffles, done!
No.8 TIE SIDE JUMPER - £39.00 I absolutely adore this flower design jumper. For a day look I would wear it with a flowing yellow midi skirt – colour is not just for summer, you know!
No.9 TIE SIDE JUMPER - £22.00 Vertical ribbing and be very flattering if you favour a more streamlined look and the lacing details adds an extra twist.
No.10 TIE SIDE JUMPER - £49.00 Get extra mileage out of your summer dresses by wearing a turtle neck as a base layer. It’ll not just keep you warm but add a different twist to your look.
